Thunderbird Berry Farm

We love this little farm.  It brings smiles to our faces.  We were happy to bring Frank along with us this visit.  I was glad that the weather was pleasant and that we didn't sweat our butts off.  We came home with 7lbs of blueberries.  Lots have already been eaten, and I froze some for a rainy day.  This is summer fun at its finest!

bus #83 splashpad party

We have a GREAT group of kiddos at our bus stop.  I planned a family night at the park to celebrate the school year's end and it was FUN for all.  Most of the gang showed up.  The kids ran wild and we had a potluck food table to feast upon.  My only regret is that I didn't take a group shot of all the ninos.  We pooled some $ together for Mr. Deak as a thank you.  I'm thankful we live in such an awesome neighborhood and have such good neighbors to associate with!

Class parties

Miss Ricks' class year end party was last Friday.  We played games outside and ate watermelon and popscicles.  The kids seemed to enjoy themselves. I love this pic with Sam's wild hair and happy, hopping Cesar. It's been a great year, can't believe our Sam is a big 2nd grader!

Josh's class party was on Wednesday and I didn't bring my camera.  Mrs. Dammann's class had a pizza party and then we were outside playing games also.  Josh is looking forward to moving to the new building F next year as a big 4th grader.  Where does time go?!  I love these boys.

spring harvest

Ripe for the pickin', Aaron and I gathered our peas and green beans.  The garden is in full swing thanks to our mild winter.   It has a little of everything, and we managed to get a full bucket of green beans and peas, and thinned out our carrots some more.  Strawberries are blooming and we've had quite a few zucchinis already.  Aaron insisted on a morning "snack" and we went inside to enjoy peas and carrots fresh from the garden.  YUM-o.

wild berries

The Parker family invited us over to pick their wild blackberries.  You can see by the smile (and mess) on Sam's face that the evening was a huge success!  Good times had by all and we only managed to bring home one tick.  Lucky us!  Frank brought the .22 along and the kids had a great time shooting old root beer bottles.  They even found a turtle.  Which didn't surprise me at all.  Josh has a madd skill for catching turtles.  Little Megan and Aaron were so cute, catching bugs.  They filled their catcher to the brim with rolly-pollies and hoppers.  I'm thankful to have such nice friends.

Little Red Hen

Miss Ricks' class had their music presentation last week.  They put on a show after the Little Red Hen story.  It was very well done, Sam was a horse.  Very cute show, Mrs. Amburgey is a great music teacher!
